Booking a sitter via email (seekasitter@gmail.com) or online are acceptable methods to book sitters. Please note babysitting jobs are to be a minimum of 4 hours. If a job is booked for less than 3 hours, you will be billed for 4 hours as per the minimum requirement.

Using a sitter from our service privately and not booking through Seek A Sitter, you will be charged a finders’ fee of 13% of the time selected or $2500, whichever sum is greater. Please note we are happy to find you a sitter and as per your agreement to this document, you have agreed to use Seek A Sitter services to continue to book your sitter. If you have a favorite awesome sitter, we will do everything we can to make sure they can work with your family.

Privacy Statement

At Seek A Sitter we are committed to protecting your privacy. Authorized sitters within the Seek A Sitter team will only use the information collected from individual customers for Seek A Sitter jobs only. We constantly review our systems and data to best protect your information. We will not give away or sell your information to anyone.

Payment

All major credit cards are acceptable methods of payment. Our terms are payment due upon completion of the sitting event. Monies that remain outstanding will incur a late fee of 2% per day until the outstanding balance is paid. We reserve the right to recover any monies remaining on outstanding balances over 30 days with Small Claims Court. In such circumstances you will be responsible for any and all additional fees and or court costs.

Cancellation Policy

Minimum of 24 hours’ notice of cancellation required. Notification via email, text, or phone call will be acceptable subject to confirmation by a member of the Seek A Sitter team. Please note: If a sitter is confirmed for you, by a member of the Sitter Select team and cancellation occurs with less than 24 hours notice- a $50 cancellation fee will be charged.

Termination of Agreements and Refund Policy

No refund shall be offered after our service has been provided.  Both the client and Seek A Sitter have the right to terminate any Service Agreement for any reason, including ending of services that have already begun.

Inclement Weather

During inclement weather, Seek A Sitter will do our best to uphold our services. The safety of our sitters is extremely important to us. We take heed of whatever weather conditions and/or warnings are posted.

The 24 hours’ notice/cancellation applies to weather conditions.  You will be billed a $50 cancellation fee, 100% of which goes to the babysitter.
